This is a film that tells the story of how the souls of two people meet, at a given point, after they’ve been adrift and missing each other.
The story takes place in what is apparently the same place troughout the film, even though this is a place in constant mutation.
Our characters are played by the artists themselves, António Zambujo and Mon Laferte. Both of them sing directly to the camera and of camera. Often, while we see one of them singing we see the other passing by, without crossing the line of sight, portraying how adrift they feel before meeting. While this is happening, the set will be constantly mutating in order to illustrate how these characters never feel they’re a part of a place ( mis-en-scène will make sure the characters feel out of place). At a given point their eyes do cross and this is the time when they connect. Singing to each other and bringing out their musical performance to their best, now their characters are connected.
The film will be a single shot, filmed in studio and a décor will be built in a way that walls, furniture, rugs, etc can be moved so that it gives the illusion that everything is changing naturally. Each mood, will have its own colour pallete and lighting. When the music has a bigger dynamic the set will be empty, leaving just the white walls of the studio and the light will smoothly change to a dark red, that is aesthetically pleasing, giving us the message that, now, they belong to each other.
